SUMMARY:CANCELLED: Strawberry Festival
DESCRIPTION:After much consideration and after meeting with the Corps of Engineers and Jefferson County Emergency Management and Rock Community Fire District the 2019 Kimmswick Strawberry Festival will be canceled. \nAfter realizing the river will be rising and Hwy K will be closed along with the entrance from Windsor Harbor it is just not feasible during a festival to have only one way in and out of town. We will not place our vendors\, visitors\, or residents in any sort of delayed emergency response if medical services or fire equipment is needed. The parking logistics for our 30\,000 plus visitors was also a major consideration in this decision. \nThere will not be a makeup date. \nWe have begun to notify all vendors via phone or email\, if you are a vendor you will have a choice of a refund or to carry your payment over for the 2020 festival. You may contact City Hall at 636-464-7407 and leave a message\, we will get back to you as soon as possible.

SUMMARY:Apple Butter Festival
DESCRIPTION:Come to our small community and shop at our more than 30 unique shops\, eat any of our four restaurants with plenty of outdoor sitting areas.  The streets and grass fields will be lined with hundreds of homemade craft\, direct sales\, corporate sponsor and food booths. There is something for everyone! \nPlease remember there is very limited handicap parking and it fills up very early.  There is a lot of walking at this festival. We would love to see you visit our town but please be aware there is very uneven ground on the streets and grassy areas. The grounds are very hard to maneuver wheelchairs\, walkers etc. There is NO transportation to and from your vehicle unless you are on the shuttle…. Please be prepared for the weather. We do have emergency services available at Kimmswick City Hall 6041 Third Street\, Kimmswick \nThis is a pet-friendly event.  Please remember your pets need to be on a leash and well behaved. The Festival Committee or Kimmswick Board of Alderman does have the right to ask you to leave the festival if there are any problems with your pet.
